Odd and End

Summer is coming to an end and I'm so sad;) This has been the perfect time to be pregnant. I was so sick that I was very happy not to have to be at work!! The baby loves to sleep late and take naps;) It was also perfect because Brandon had to have surgery. He had to lay around for 4 weeks so it made me feel even better to just lay around. It was really great spending so much time with him. All my friends asked if I got tired of being around him so much. Nope..I loved every minute of it. He's never one to sleep late because he's a farmer so he has to wake up early. Having him sleep late with me was like heaven. Our time is coming to an end. His foot is healing and school is near. Our first official teacher day is August 12th. The majority of the students come on the 14th. Since my students are 4 they don't start until August 26th. I will be 18 weeks when the start and I'm praying that I feel better!!
Speaking of feeling better, I felt pretty good for once last night while Brandon and I were watching a movie. This morning I also felt better. Well I decided to take a new vitamin that the OB gave me to try. It had a fish oil pill with it....big MISTAKE!! I was sitting on the couch drinking hot tea and talking to Brandon when all of a sudden I felt AWFUL. I barely made it to the bathroom before I threw up. I don't know if I've ever thrown up so much at one time. Brandon even came in to check on me. The baby does not like those vitamins...it was awful.
I also have a question for you ladies. How does it feel when your uterus is growing?? I know everyone is different and it is hard to explain but could you tell me? Every now and then I feel like this heavy sensation in my uterus kind of like when you are about to start AF...is that normal??? I have also been having really bad headaches...any advice for that? Thanks!! I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hey!! I'm usually just a lurker but I thought I'd respond to this post :-) I'm about 3 weeks ahead of you in my pregnancy and I can tell when my uterus is growing because it feels like AF is on her way. I've also felt my muscles stretching...ouch! And I'm betting by the time school starts you'll be feeling much better. Just last week at 16 weeks I started to finally get my energy back and this week I've felt the best yet! So just a few more weeks and I'm sure you'll be feeling great too!

I am 12 weeks along and am still feeling horrible too. The uterus growing to me feels like light cramping every once in a while and sometimes a feeling of pressure. My last pregnancy I started feeling really good at about 16 weeks so I hope you get your energy back soon! I'm counting down those four weeks!

Yes, it's normal. Usually starts between week 11 and 15 (early for me b/c I got big REALLY fast). That's what my doctor told me

yep, it felt just like AF was about to start, so what you are feeling is a good thing is means baby is growing...

I don't know if it was my uterus growing or not but I remember that when I felt a little crampy or not quite right I either needed to go pee or I needed to drink water. Stuff you don't think about if your not pregnant but you seem to notice them more when you are pregnant.

My belly was really crampy when my uterus was stretching, much like period cramps. Sometimes the cramps were so bad that i got a little scared but everything turned out just fine. Sorry your summer is ending but happy that you got to spend so much time with your husband. I love spending time with mine every chance I get. Glad you're feeling better. You might have to try several different types of vitamins before you find one that works for you. I too had the same ones you got sick with and they were pretty terrible.

I glad we can celebrate the gender together!!! I was hoping i would find out around 18weeks but since i'm high risk they wanted me to wait till 20 to make sure everything would be developed! I have that heavy feeling too, it doesn't feel like AF but more like pressure in the butt area hehe! Its kinda of a sore feeling, aah i can't describe it!!

I get pulling and occasional sharp pains when I'm growing. As for headaches, I use a little caffeine. It works to expand the blood vessels that often cause headaches. Hope you're feeling well!

Going back to work after summer break is the worst! Especially since you've had such a relaxing one so far.

I felt my uterus stretching all the time, mostly in the second trimester. I would feel crampy in my lower uterus and sometimes I would get this achy stretching/cramping feeling from my belly button down to my pubic bone. I tried to explain this to my doctor but I didn't do a very good job. Now that it is so big, I don't feel it stretching as much anymore.

You will get so many sensations that you've never felt before. Most likely they're all normal. It is so hard not knowing your body anymore.
