It's been awhile

Hi friends!! It's been awhile since my last post. I have been reading your blogs though!! If I don't comment that is because I am either feeding a baby or comforting a baby while reading them;)

My little doodlebug is 11 weeks old today!! I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by. At her 8 week appointment she was 10lbs 10oz and 22 1/2 inches long...I'm sure she is 11 lbs by now!! I am still missing having a full nights sleep...that seems like such a long time ago;) She teases me by only waking up 1 time for a couple days and then goes back to 2 times a night. This has happened a couple weeks in a row. Also every few days she is really restless after her 4 am feeding. She will make a lot of noises and toss and turn for about an hour...anyone else?? Any advice about this?? I am also having a hard time getting her to take more than an hour nap at a time. She will take around 4 one hour naps a day. I would like to get her to take 3 1 1/2-2 hour naps...any suggestions?? Well, she is about to wake up so I better go. I will post Sunday to tell you how her Christening goes!!

PS...Please pray for my blogger friend Tammy who is having an embryo transfer on Friday!!

She is so cute! Bailey never took more than an hour nap either. She just doesn't like to sleep.

My almost 8 month old still wakes up atleast twice a night. And she is never calm when she sleeps. She is always restless, always moving around. We've been to the doctor b/c I thought she was not getting enough sleep b/c she was so restless and he said she was fine. I hope hope hope she'll grow out of it. As far as the naps go, Randi was like that for a while, as she gets a little older you can try, key word try, keeping her up longer in between her naps so that way when she does nap she might be prone to take a longer one and not so many little ones. Now Randi barely takes one nap a day. It's amazing how quickly things change. Glad to hear from you, and your little girl is just precious!

My little guy is exactly the same way! He tosses and turns and grunts and screeches (he sounds like a prehistoric bird) and then finally drifts off. And then during the day he is a bad napper too -- it's almost like he doesn't want to miss anything...he fights the sleep! Hang in there. She's a cutie! Happy baptism this weekend -- mine will be getting his in May. :)

Ashley...she is adorable!! and if you figure out the nap thing, let me know the secret!! I just let Addie do her thing and she sleeps when she's tired, where ever she is at the moment. As long as I have a happy baby, I try not to worry!

Hey girl! Our babies are growing too fast! Are you swaddling her for naps and at night? I was not until about a month ago and almost immediately Clark started having 6-9 hour stretches at night! His naps during the day are not that long, but he does take a good long nap once a day and i always swaddle him for that nap. He seems to sleep better any time he is swaddled bc he wakes himself up with his hands. He normally takes a small nap (not swaddled) every 2 hrs or so, which i read is very normal for a 3 month old baby. SO, my suggestion is to swaddle her anytime you want her to sleep longer! :) My pedi recommended trying it for at least a week before giving up on it bc at first she will fight it!
