We do the same thing every night. We ...Hey honey,

We do the same thing every night. We give the girls a bath every other night around 6 p.m. with the lavendar night time bath. Then we give them a bottle. They will be super tired and cranky for a bit, but eventually they go to sleep on our chest. We then put a larger sized diaper on them so I don't have to wake them changing a diaper three hours later. The larger diaper holds more pee. We swaddle them in the Kidapotamous (I think that's the name) fleece swaddles and top them off around 9-9:30 p.m. At that time, they pass out while feeding. (We wake them to top them off)

We have done the same thing for a few weeks and all of a sudden, they started sleeping longer stretches. I really think the swaddling makes a HUGE difference. My girls startle themselves at night so the swaddle keeps them from doing that.

I hope this helps and you get some sleep!

Hugs,
KamiKamihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10799215346270649943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7686857143203379501.post-20103270368453653402010-03-13T17:45:49.634-06:002010-03-13T17:45:49.634-06:00Woo hoo!!! I'...Hi, and congratulations on your little one! I've followed your blog for quite but haven't posted often. I can't remember if you're nursing, but if so, not nursing when she wakes can actually hurt your supply. Given her age, it's likely that she's going through a growth spurt, so needs to nurse more frequently (I remember thinking I would never get my son un-latched during those!) to build your supply. Another thing we did sometimes was to have him sleep with us, so I didn't have to get out of bed to nurse. I didn't want to do it at first because I was concerned about safety, but after reading about how to do it safely, we gave it a try and it made a world of difference for all three of us.

I know how hard it is when you're functioning on no sleep--I hope you're able to get some rest. And even though it's hard to see it now, one day she really will sleep. :)

PaulaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999506745930299070noreply@blogger.com
